Some quality at last!
Ever since the Odex saga hit Singapore anime fans, we have wondered where to get our anime. Singapore is seriously deprived of anime, although there is a significant number of people who are anime fans. Even though Odex is not doing anything to fulfil its promises and is probably using the money it got to keep their company afloat, at least we can get some good anime on Okto!
Showing on Okto now are Basilisk Kouga Ninpou Chou, Casshern Sins, Code Geass, Toradora, Skip Beat! and Gundam 00. Many of these are also the latest eps from Japan and it only makes it better. Basilisk, although I really hate it and the plot, is based closely on an award-winning manga and is animated by Gonzo. Surely this is quality, disregarding the fact that I really don't like it when the main plot is two groups of people killing each other. Casshern Sins is a little boring IMO but probably is deep?
I absolutely love the rest of the animes! I have always wanted to watch Code Geass because of its popularity, character designs are by CLAMP and that it seems interesting. I could understand what the reporters were thinking when the entire place was silent for a minute then huge applause after the screening of the first episode. Even I was taken aback. Code Geass would surely be on my favourites list!
My first impression of Toradora was that it would be a silly, high school romantic comedy. I was proved wrong. Although it may be romantic comedy, it is different from its counterparts, showing slice-of-life bits as well. I look forward to every episode on Thursday!
Skip Beat is one of the funniest anime I have seen this year! The anime is just hilarious! Gundam 00 is action-packed and different from its predecessor. Although the storyline is totally different, it has caught me just like how Gundam Seed got my interest.
I would have to say, I am so looking forward to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights!
